Manitoba 2010 Spring Road Restrictions
2010 Spring Road Restrictions will be implemented in Zone 1 (including RM of Cartier) effective 6:00 AM, Thursday, March 18, 2010. The purpose of Spring Road Restrictions is to protect Manitoba's surfaced highways from damage during spring thaw by reducing allowable weights.

Waste Reduction and Recycling Support Program
Commencing July 1, 2009, Manitoba introduced the Waste Reduction and Recycling Support (WRARS) Levy of $10 per tonne on waste disposed at Manitoba landfills. Eighty percent of the revenue collected from the WRARS Levy is rebated to municipalities to further promote recycling in Manitoba.
