Rural Municipality of Cartier
The Rural Municipality of Cartier
The Rural Municipality of Cartier (RM of Cartier) is situated on the rich prairie fields approximately 20 kilometers west of Winnipeg, Manitoba's capital city. It is situated along either side of the Trans Canada Highway. The scenic and rolling Assiniboine River forms the Northern boundary of the Municipality.
Elie is conveniently found along the Trans Canada Highway. It has the largest community in the RM of Cartier with a population of approximately 650 people. Other significant communities include St. Eustache, Springstein, Lido Plage and Dacotah.

Bridge Closure
Permanent barricades will be located at 12W-54N bridge crossing. Please use another crossing.
Unicity Labs
Blood Work now available in Elie. No appointment necessary and request form from any doctor accepted.
Open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 12:00PM. Located at the Elie Medical Center.
Recycling Program
Please note that there are new bins at the Recycling Sites. These bins do not require that the items be separated - but note that the recycleable materials accepted stay the same as noted on the signs.
